折居 吉如Yoshiyuki Orii
PROFILE
福岡市出身。4歳よりピアノを始め、10歳の夏にドイツを訪れたことを契機に音楽の道を志す。
ハンガリー・ブダペストで開催された Budapest Music Seminar への参加を機に、当時のハンガリー国立リスト音楽院ピアノ科主任教授 K.ドラフィ氏のもとで研鑽を積む。
福岡教育大学および同大学院を修了。在学中は6年間にわたり授業料全額免除を受け、大学学生表彰を受賞。学生交流事業により韓国・釜山へ派遣され、釜山教育大学にて開催された交流記念演奏会に出演。
飯塚新人音楽コンクール史上最年少第2位および飯塚市教育委員会賞受賞。北九州芸術祭クラシックコンクール第1位（大賞）及び福岡県知事賞受賞。フランツ・リスト国際ピアノコンクール（ブダペスト）セミファイナリスト。
浜松国際ピアノアカデミー、霧島国際音楽祭に参加。霧島国際音楽祭では C.カツァリス氏の推薦によりロビーコンサートおよびガラコンサートに出演し、霧島国際音楽祭賞受賞。
湧き上がる音楽祭 in 北九州にて祝祭管弦楽団とリスト《ピアノ協奏曲第1番》を共演。
近年はソロリサイタルや2台ピアノによる協奏曲演奏会を継続的に開催するなど、演奏活動を積極的に行っている。
現在は福岡を拠点にソロ、アンサンブルでの演奏活動を行う傍ら、コンクール審査、教育機関・公共施設でのアウトリーチ活動にも力を入れている。公立高校非常勤講師。
これまでに関野直樹、K.ドラフィ、武内俊之、永野栄子の各氏に師事。
また、K.ゲキチ、高雄有希、鈴木弘尚、V.トロップ、B.ペトルシャンスキー、C.カツァリス 各氏のマスタークラスを受講。
Yoshiyuki Orii
Born in Fukuoka, Japan, Yoshiyuki Orii began studying the piano at the age of four. A visit to Germany at the age of ten inspired him to pursue music seriously.
After participating in the Budapest Music Seminar in Hungary, he studied under Kálmán Dráfi, former Head Professor of the Piano Department at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. He graduated from Fukuoka University of Education and completed his graduate studies there.
During his academic years, he received a full tuition waiver for six consecutive years and was awarded a university commendation prize. He was also selected for a student exchange program to Busan, South Korea, where he performed at a commemorative concert hosted by Busan National University of Education.
Orii received Second Prize and the Iizuka City Board of Education Award at the Iizuka Rookie Music Competition, becoming the youngest prizewinner in the competition’s history. He later won First Prize (Grand Prize) and the Fukuoka Prefectural Governor’s Award at the Kitakyushu Arts Festival Classical Music Competition. He was also selected as a semifinalist at the Franz Liszt International Piano Competition in Budapest.
He has participated in the Hamamatsu International Piano Academy and the Kirishima International Music Festival. At the Kirishima International Music Festival, he performed in both the lobby concert and gala concert upon the recommendation of Cyprien Katsaris, and received the Kirishima International Music Festival Prize.
He appeared with the festival orchestra at the Wakiaguru Music Festival in Kitakyushu, performing Liszt’s Piano Concerto No.1.
In recent years, he has continued an active concert career through solo recitals and concert series featuring piano concertos arranged for two pianos.
Currently based in Fukuoka, he is active as both a soloist and ensemble pianist, while also working in outreach programs, piano competition adjudication, and music education at public high schools.
He studied under Naoki Sekino, Kálmán Dráfi, Toshiyuki Takeuchi, and Eiko Nagano.
He has also participated in masterclasses with Kemal Gekić, Yuki Takao, Hironao Suzuki, Vladimir Tropp, Boris Petrushansky, and Cyprien Katsaris
